Two Pigs in a Pod, a restaurant set in the beautiful mountains of Ithaca, NY, revolutionizes the way we eat barbecue—serving meals straight from the farm to your plate. Co-owners, Jamie and Ciro, a father daughter duo, have fused their obsession for barbecue and organic local products to create a fresh new spin on classic American barbecue. From the butcher block menus to the branded pig logo, this sustainable inspired design with rustic touches make diners feel like they’re at the farm.
When the cold bites your nose, Snove chocolates provide winter warmth on the coldest of days. This line of products was created to embody chocolate’s “melt-in-your-mouth” quality, warming your entire body as it touches your tongue. Each flavor has a unique linocut illustration of an arctic dweller, paired with an icy watercolor wash. The polar bear, snow fox and inuit distinguish the three spicy warming flavors of Snove’s hot chocolate, chocolate bark and coffee beans.

Shown is the series of hand lettering pieces I created as marketing materials for the 2015 Kutztown University Senior Portfolio Review. I was influenced by inspirational authors and respected creatives in American history including Henry David Thoreau, Stephen Spielberg and Ralph Waldo Emerson. I used these famous quotes to remind agencies of their roles as mentors in young designers futures, and to inspire the students that are moving forward in their design careers.
For the Portfolio Review, I created two invitations, a promotional poster, a thank you card, as well as designed and coded the website students and professionals visited to sign-up for the event.

The rugged climbers, nature seekers, and outdoors men of the world’s most beautiful forests can now bring nature home. This limited edition fragrance is a rustic and earthy blend of fresh cut cedar and spruce, creating a scent that embodies the natural musk of the rugged outdoors—fresh cut, no matter the season. For this design, the box and bottle are crafted using cedar wood, capturing the smells and refined beauty of the rustic mountains.
The Kutztown University Communication Design Department is truly unique in its sense of community and Pennsylvania culture. They are different than any other art college, where farm fields, passionate craftsmen, and beautiful PA-Dutch Hex signs feed their inspiration. The Rais Market is a KUCD shop that promotes the work of it's students, alumni and their future careers. The shop's earnings directly benefit the Kutztown University Communication Design Department by providing scholarships and workshops to advance the students’ education.
In collaboration with another student, I branded, merchandised, and created hand made products for the opening of The Rais Market for the KUCD Department. The logo, a hot air balloon/horse and buggy mash-up, inspires students to travel on their own paths, and reminds them that they can always come home to Kutztown where their journey's as designers began. The branding was illustrated using pen and ink, emphasizing Kutztown's old PA-Dutch culture.

Magic Hat’s Reclusive Rarities line, “a special group of beers that are here one day, gone the next, and when they’ll return is anyone’s guess”. Four craft brews from the Reclusive Rarity vault were redesigned. Rousing Root is a crisp lager with hints of sweet potatoes, stirring up autumn with its swirling roots. Wooly has a spicy aromatic spruce profile with knit and pine celebrating its beauty. Vinyl is a spring lager, with a sweet malt butterfly and flowers welcoming growth. Lastly, Lucky Kat, an India Pale Ale, will bite you back on a dark halloween night. –magichat.net
